What is this?

A game (the Shopping League) developed for a product launch by Kenzo. Consumers had to fight real time against other consumers in a game to be able to purchase the product.

Why is it interesting?

It plays on the desire of limited edition. Not only was the product on limited edition – and expensive – but the gamification of the purchase experience created a hype that increase sale with 6x.
