What is this?
Alo Yoga allows the visitors of its website to browse through their instagram post and directly shop the products shown in photos. The web page resembles the interface of an instagram profile, and users can scroll through it and click on the products thanks to special buttons. Once that is done, a pop-up window comes out asking to customers whether they want to add it to the cart of jump to the product page.
Why is it interesting?
Similarly to other examples in the library, the shop insta page allows for a smooth inclusion of UGC within the brand’s product offering. This both provides a more tangible perspective on how the product look like and also creates the opportunity of engaging with instagram users who post about the brand in their feed.
