Treasury Wine Estates has developed the ‘Living Wine Labels’ AR platform across its portfolio of wines to help drive consumer engagement and growth of its brands around the globe. By scanning the wine labels (as one would do with a QR code), customers are shown different experiences. From bringing characters from the brand to life on the label, promoting the historical features of some of the world’s oldest wineries, and educating wine lovers through the voice of a winemaker. The latest iteration extends beyond a single animated wine label to two labels that interact with each other.
The initiative takes advantage of an uprising technology to drive brand awareness and customer engagement. So far, the idea led to more than 1.3 M of downloads and counts more than 200.000 videos shared by users across different social media platforms.
