R Message connects Burberry’s proprietary R World app for store associates to its customer-facing app. Through texting, customers with the app can make in-store appointments, receive personalised item recommendations and buy products, while associates can drive sales using an integrated back-end inventory system. R Message was created in partnership with Apple and is invite-only.
An engaging way to accommodate that mobile-first customers are often just as informed about products as the brand’s own employees, which increases customer expectations – with this they can provide the right information at the right time. The exclusivity and personal touch it increase the emotional connection to the brand. It makes it increasingly easy for the consumer to purchase items. it can eb done in the text conversation.
