What is this?
Road Tales’ uses a custom developed story-engine that creates unique tales based on the location of the user while he is driving with his family. To ensure the stories react to the environment, the team scanned the entire Dutch highway system to identify objects like bridges, windmills, trees, petrol stations, and other main objects to transform them into story elements.
Why is it interesting?
While ebooks would normally represent something the user would use not to think about being in long car drive, this idea renders the drive itself part of the narration. What was considered boring is now a key element of the engagement of the user.
